RPMs obtainable with PTFE versus the different Elastomeric seals available. As you can see from the RPM comparison chart as well as the Temperature Comparison chart, PTFE has a great advantage for you when it comes to adding life to your application versus using an elastomeric seal.
For example, if you have a 90mm (3.543″) diameter shaft or greater, you cannot effectively use an elastomeric seal above 6500 RPMs, whereas you can use our PTFE seals up to 30,000 RPMs! Furthermore, you can operate up to 316C (600F), or as low as -275C (-463F) with our PTFE seals.
